Download the NovaTab Package
Click below to download the latest NovaTab extension ZIP file to your computer:
Extract the ZIP File
Right-click the downloaded novatab-chromium.zip file and choose "Extract All..." (Windows) or double-click to uncompress (Mac). You will now have an uncompressed folder containing the extension files.
Open the Extensions Management Page
Open a new tab in Chrome, paste the following URL into your address bar, and press Enter:
Enable Developer Mode
In the top-right corner of the Extensions page, toggle the "Developer mode" switch to the ON position.
Click "Load unpacked"
In the top-left corner, click the "Load unpacked" button.
Select the NovaTab Folder
Browse to your extracted NovaTab folder (the folder containing manifest.json) and click "Select Folder".
Ready! Open a New Tab
Press Ctrl + T (or Cmd + T on Mac). Your new tab is now powered by NovaTab!

Extract the ZIP File
Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a convenient folder on your computer.
Navigate to edge://extensions
Type or paste the following into Microsoft Edge's address bar and press Enter:
Enable Developer Mode
In the left sidebar (or bottom left), toggle on "Developer mode".
Click "Load unpacked"
Click the "Load unpacked" button at the top of the page, then choose your extracted NovaTab folder.
Done!
Open a new tab to see your new NovaTab desktop dashboard in Microsoft Edge.
Download for Brave
Extract and Navigate to brave://extensions
Extract the ZIP file, open Brave, and visit:
Enable Developer Mode & Click "Load unpacked"
Toggle Developer Mode in the upper right, click "Load unpacked", and choose the extracted NovaTab folder.
Download for Opera
Navigate to opera://extensions
Enable Developer Mode in the top-right corner, click "Load unpacked", and choose the extracted NovaTab folder.
Download for Vivaldi
Navigate to vivaldi://extensions
Toggle Developer Mode, click "Load unpacked", and select the folder containing manifest.json.
Download for Firefox
Extract the ZIP Archive
Uncompress novatab-firefox.zip to a local folder.
Navigate to about:debugging
In Firefox's address bar, type and press Enter:
Click "Load Temporary Add-on..."
Click the "Load Temporary Add-on..." button, browse into the extracted folder, and select manifest.json.
Note: For permanent installation without developer prompts, use the upcoming signed Firefox Add-on release on addons.mozilla.org.
Troubleshooting & Tips
Make sure you extract the ZIP file first. When clicking "Load unpacked", select the folder that contains manifest.json directly inside it, not the parent download folder.
Download the latest ZIP, extract it into the same folder replacing old files, then click the circular ↻ reload button on NovaTab in your chrome://extensions page. Your local settings and bookmarks are preserved automatically!
